Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

This week's question comes from Somer who blogs at A Bird's Eye Review (her blog design is ADORABLE - check it out!):

"Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?"

Answer: I will only read one book at a time. The only time I break this rule is when I'm reading a book to my kids. I find it confusing to keep up with two stories at once, and not at all fun. But, I know alot of people enjoy reading a multitude of books at once- it just doesn't work for me.

Anyone have a different opinion?

  1. I'm the same way. I cannot read two books at once. except reading to my little one. Dude, are we one in the same? ;0

  2. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

  3. One-book-at-a-time lady here....

....I don't know how folks do it....I am amazed at how many people read more than one book at at time. :)

  4. Hi Laura.
I am just hopping through and I agree with you. I can't handle more than one book at a time either.

  5. Hi,

Found you through the Hop and now following, too! I'm also an one-book-at-a-time kind of girl (well, almost always).

    Take care & happy reading,

  6. Hopping through. New follower! I'm a multiple book person. I know what you're saying about it getting confusing. It does sometimes, but I sort it out quickly.

  7. I stopped by your blog today. I noticed a comment you had left on another blog about writing. You may want to try Writing the Breakout Novel by Don Maass (the workbook helped more than the actual book) and you can download Margie Lawson's lecture notes from her web site. They are invaluable.

  8. I'm with you. I may flirt with a few books, just to see what I feel like reading, but once I decide, I'm a one-book girl to the end.

  9. I'm with you. There's NO WAY I can read more than one book at a time!
